That almost makes me miss having trees and leaves. Almost.

S tereotypes wouldn’t be stereotypes if they weren’t true.

... they weren’t true there wasn’t a grain of truth, presently, or at some point in the past.

Oof. There was nothing our dog loved more than leaves and snow. We lost her to cancer on February, and have been dreading this fall and winter. The leaves are starting to come down in Virginia, and the first leaf pile without her is coming. Not looking forward to it

We’ve got a giant, dying silver maple in the back yard. Fortunately, I can usually mow all of those leaves. The oak in the front is another story. Those leaves are tough as leather. Sadly, I think this will be the last autumn for my maple. The drought killed most of the maples in Austin, and it’s going to be very expensive to have it cut down. The silver maple is not native to this part of the country, though, so it’s no surprise they died. I’ve planted some new Monterrey oaks that are native and drought tolerant. They've got a lot of years to catch up on, though.
